Terms of Service

Last updated 5 August 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we", "us") covering your use of Pulse Lab Vault (the "Service"). By using the Service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

Placeholders below must be completed before launch ([LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [registered address], [governing law / venue], [contact email]), and the whole document should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least [16] years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

2. Accounts and sessions

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the recordings, photos, text, and profile entries you provide ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, transcribe, analyse, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service and provide the analysis you requested, and to comply with law. That licence ends when you delete the content, subject to backup rotation and legal-retention obligations. We do not use Your Content to train third-party AI models for their own purposes.

4. Recording other people

Recording laws vary and some places require every participant's consent. If your recording captures anyone other than you, you are responsible for obtaining their consent and for complying with the laws that apply to you and to them. Do not upload recordings of people who have not agreed to be recorded.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. AI output — important limits

The Service produces machine-generated interpretations. They are opinion-like output from a statistical model, not fact, not a diagnosis, and not professional advice. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unflattering.

The Service is not a medical device and is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, or medical care. Do not rely on it for decisions about health, employment, legal matters, safety, or relationships. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency service.

7. Quotas and availability

Usage limits (recordings per day and per week, maximum file size, and a 20-minute cap per recording) apply and vary by account type. We may change them, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. The Service is provided on an "as available" basis, with no guaranteed uptime unless separately agreed in writing.

8. Sharing

If you choose to share an item, its preview and content become accessible to anyone holding the link. This is deliberate and cannot be fully undone — copies may already exist. You are responsible for what you choose to publish.

9. Paid features

[If and when paid plans launch: pricing, billing cycle, renewal, refunds, taxes, and cancellation terms go here.]

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your content is deleted in line with the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions do not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and [USD 50]. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms or of any law — including claims by someone you recorded without consent.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date changes with them, and material changes will be signalled in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and the courts of [venue] have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
